Bundled & tied with string, 12" high maximum

Place next to recyclable containers

Junk mail, magazines, office & school papers,

Curbside Recycling Collection

computer paper, clean food boxes, catalogs,

Place in mixed paper or any 20 gallon container

books, gift boxes, telephone books

50 lb.container weight limit

Corrugated Cardboard

Cardboard boxes

Curbside Recycling Collection or drop-off location at DPW

Flattened, bundled & tied with string

Must be free of any packing staples, paper & styrofoam

Co-mingled Containers

Glass bottles (clear & colored), plastic containers

Curbside Recycling Collection

(#1 thru 7), aluminum, tin, steel and bi-metal cans,

Place in 20 or 32 gallon container, 50 lb. weight limit

molded plastic

No plastic bags / No aerosols, oil or gas containers

Electronics

Computers, monitors, scanners, printers, TVs,

Materials must be brought to the DPW

VCRs, DVD players, modems, keyboards, phones,

Accept residentially generated items only

stereos, irons, answering machines, batteries

Must provide proof of residency

Metallic Bulk Items

Washing machines, dryers, hot water heaters, stoves,

Second garbage collection of the week

bed frames, refrigerators, window air conditioners,

Material collected after completion of garbage collection

Leaves

 

January thru October, curbside garbage collection

Leaves

November thru January, recycled, materials will

 

be accepted in biodegradable bags or garbage cans only

Brush

Tree limbs, branches and vegetation only DOES NOT include stump material, roots or firewood

Curbside garbage collection

Must be securely tied and bundled, 18" diameter maximum

Material must not exceed 4' in length or 6" in diameter

The Department of Public Works will continue to have a cardboard drop-off location at 444

Valentine Street . Hours: Monday thru Friday 6:30 am – 3:00 pm / Saturday 7:00 am – 11:00 am

 

Residents are also encouraged to participate in recycling programs offered by the

Middlesex County Improvement Authority
