The Highland Park Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1899. Firefighters respond to an average
of 400 to 500 calls per year and supply all fire suppression for the borough and aid neighboring towns
in major emergencies. The members also assist at motor vehicle accidents, downed electrical wires and
water emergencies and supply fire prevention instruction to citizens. The fire department is managed by
volunteer officers and firefighters and depends on support from the citizens of Highland Park.
Some helpful hints from your Fire Department

- Be sure your house numbers are clearly visible from the street.
- Always keep a fire extinguisher handy and know how to use it.
- Practice Exit Drills In The Home (E-D-I-T-H) For information on drills contact the Fire Department.
