The Department of Code Enforcement is comprised of four divisions:  Uniform Construction Code (building and constructions permits), Housing, Planning and Zoning, and Health. 

The Borough has an interlocal agreement with Middlesex County's Department of Public Health for Health Services, and the City of New Brunswick for Animal Control Services.
