Human Relations Commission
Mission
HRCAllAre welcomelogo.png
The Commission is a borough sponsored organization that attempts to foster, through community effort or otherwise, goodwill cooperation and conciliation among the groups and elements of our inhabitants.

The commission is empowered to make recommendations to the Borough Council for the development of policies and procedures and for programs of formal or informal education, with an emphasis on humanity and cultural diversity.  We aim to eliminate all types of discrimination based on race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, age religion, marital status, gender, sexual orientation/preference, or physical or mental handicaps of any individual or because of the liability for service in the Armed Forces of the United States.

All Are Welcome Here:
The Human Relations Commission of Highland Park wants to encourage our community to take an additional warm step, to not only meet legal requirements for public accommodation for all people, but to WELCOME all people to shop, make use of our many professional offices, and to enjoy our lovely and diverse borough with all it has to offer.

Current Projects

The commission is working on some exciting new projects. We encourage residents to get involved and participate in our many wonderful programs.
