One of the many ways the Highland Park Police Department meets its goal of transparency and accessibility to the public is by holding quarterly open public forums, where residents can ask questions and receive direct answers from top police leadership.
The next open public forum with the leaders of the HPPD will be held via Zoom on Thursday June 25th, from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. Mayor Gayle Brill Mittler, Councilwoman Elsie Foster-Dublin (Council liaison to Public Safety), Police Chief Rick Abrams, and Police Captain Jose Curbelo will participate and invite questions from Highland Park residents. Residents’ questions submitted in advance would be appreciated and allow for fuller, prepared responses.
