The Department of Community Services Office of Aging offers a variety of valuable programming, services and opportunities for older adults 55 years old and older. Our programs and activities include events, classes, lectures and seminars, screenings, support groups, exercise classes, social services, and transportation, our office provides opportunities for older adults to stay actively engaged physically, mentally, and socially.
The Office of Aging enriches the lives of our senior population by helping them thrive. Our programming enables seniors to maintain their independence by providing numerous and diverse opportunities for them to stay engaged within the community and significantly enhances the well-being and quality of life. Senior Outreach plays an instrumental and critical role in the implementation and execution of our programming, and provides much needed community outreach to seniors in their homes while providing resources and services to caregivers to their loved ones.
Transportation
- We are currently providing limited in town and medical transportation services throughout Highland Park and local areas.
- Masks are required to be worn by all riders during the duration of each trip.
- Wednesday Shopping Trips and Special Trips are temporarily postponed Due to the current pandemic.

Annual Special Celebrations, Programs & Luncheons
Monthly Senior luncheons are held each month. All special luncheons include entertainment and/or presentation.
Also throughout the year we have special celebrations such as an annual Valentine party in February, Senior "Dancing Under the Stars" in June, Thanksgiving luncheon in November and Holiday luncheon in December.

Health Services
- Blood pressure First and third Friday of the month at 11:00 a.m. Space is limited, register in advance by calling 732-819-0052.
- Podiatrist: 2nd Thursday of each month. Please call Community Center for details.

Medical Transportation
Medical transportation is available for non-emergency appointments through out Middlesex County. To schedule a ride for an out of town medical appointment, please call our office to make a request.If possible, please schedule 2 weeks in advance as space is limited.
