The Borough's recycling program is administered by the Department of Public Works. See the list of materials below for guidance on if and how you can recycle them (some items can be picked up curbside, others need to be dropped off at the DPW garage and some can only be recycled at special events coordinated by Middlesex County). Curbside pick-up days for different parts of town are as follows:

Tuesday - Business District, North Side and Triangle Area

Thursday - South Side

Collection date subject to change in the event of a holiday.

All this information and more is available via the Recycle Coach app. We highly recommend signing up for it to receive alerts about upcoming pickups and changes in pickup days as well as guidance on whether or not something can be recycled or not.

Residents are also encouraged to participate in recycling programs offered by the Middlesex County Division of Solid Waste .

The Middlesex County Division of Solid Waste and the Middlesex County Improvement Authority (MCIA) currently has collections scheduled, throughout the County, for the following items:

  • Hazardous Household Waste
  • Paint
  • Tires
  • Consumer Electronics
  • Paper Shred Events
  • Prescription Drug/Medication
