The Borough of Highland Park invites residents and friends to a memorial service in tribute to Councilwoman Susan Welkovits. This service will be held on Wednesday August 12th, 8-9 pm, at the Pavilion located at the bottom of the Municipal Lot, near Raritan Ave, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues.
The Mayor, Borough Council members, and family members will offer brief remarks in memory of Susan and her service to our town. The event will also include a short ceremony to formally dedicate the Pavilion to Councilwoman Susan Welkovits, in recognition of her work to secure the NJ State DCA funds that supported the creation of the Pavilion at the Municipal Lot and her dedication to the Main Street Highland Park program.
No RSVPs are required to attend. All those present at the memorial service must wear face-masks and maintain a social distance of six feet or more from others.
The Borough intends to broadcast this service as a Facebook Live event, for those who can not attend in person.
