One of the many ways the Highland Park Police Department meets its goal of transparency and accessibility to the public is by holding quarterly open public forums, where residents can ask questions and receive direct answers from top police leadership.
The next open public forum with the leaders of the HPPD will be held via Zoom on Thursday September 24th, from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. Mayor Gayle Brill Mittler, Councilwoman Elsie Foster-Dublin, Police Chief Rick Abrams, and Police Captain Jose Curbelo will participate and invite questions from Highland Park residents. Questions submitted in advance are welcome and allow for fuller, prepared responses.
The HPPD leaders request that all questions offered in advance, which will receive preferential treatment at the open forum, be submitted by Thursday September 17th to hglazer@hpboro.com.
