Mission
The Highland Park Community Food Pantry is a volunteer run organization that was established in the year 2000 to provide fresh, frozen, and non-perishable food to anyone in need of food or who is food insecure. The Pantry distributes food supplied by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and NJ state food programs and by Feeding Middlesex County, as a partner of Community Foodbank of NJ. The Pantry is an equal opportunity provider.

Accessing the Food Pantry
Visit the pantry located in the Community Center, 220 South 6th Ave, Highland Park, NJ on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month from 9:00am - 10:45am and 6:00pm - 7:00 pm and on the Saturdays of those weeks from 9:30am - 10:30am.
If you have a true emergency food situation outside of normal distribution days/times. Please call Nicole Huff at the Community Center during regular business hours Monday, Wednesday & Thursday; 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Tuesday; 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday; 8:00am to 1:00pm. Outside of regular business hours EMERGENCIES ONLY contact at 908-410-7618.
Donations
If you have a large donation of food, please email or call the food pantry to arrange a drop-off. You may also donate through Amazon.
Canisters for cash donations are on the counters of several stores in town.
The Highland Park Community Food Pantry is now a 501 (c) (3) organization. Donations should be “Pay to the Order of” Highland Park Community Food Pantry and mailed to Highland Park Community Food Pantry; PO Box 1240; Highland Park, NJ 08904.
All donations are tax exempt.
The Highland Park Food Pantry would like to give thanks to everyone who continues to donate to this great cause.
What to Donate
The pantry accepts any non-perishable food or toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc.) but we especially need:
PLEASE NO GLASS CONTAINERS
- Hot/Cold Cereal
- Peanut Butter
- Canned Fruit
- Dry or UHT Milk
- Spaghetti/Spaghetti Sauce
- Rice
- Tuna
- Canned Meats
- Canned Vegetables
- Baby Food
Please be aware that for safety reasons we are unable to accept vitamins, medicines, alcohol, or foods that are past their expiration dates.
